During events such as E3, PAX and more recently the Game Awards there have been many reveals for games releasing in 2019. With these titles being announced, let’s just say that 2019 is going to set a high standard for future games to compete against. With big titles from Square Enix, BioWare and Ubisoft who knows what other surprises may arise throughout the year?
Resident Evil 2
Originally created for the original PlayStation console back in 1998, Resident Evil 2 Remastered will change controls and camera action to feel more up to date. Third person shooting will be available to play, similar to that of Resident Evil 4. Resident Evil 2 is a survival horror game praised for it’s atmosphere, setting, and audio. These aspects have put Resident Evil 2 on several lists of the best game ever made.
Kingdom Hearts 3
The Disney-Final Fantasy crossover series introduces it’s third game. Kingdom Hearts 3 tells the story of the power of friendship following the journey of Sora, a young boy and unknowing heir to a spectacular power. Sora is joined by many Disney characters such as Donald Duck, Goofy, Mickey and Elsa from Disney’s Frozen.
Crackdown 3 is a long awaited sequel to Crackdown 2. Fans have been asking for this title for a long time now and after many delays we now have a release date set in stone. Psychonauts 2 will feature a new hub world inside the Psychonauts head quarters where you will have access to new mental worlds as you peek inside the minds of a variety of new characters. Use these characters and Psi-Powers to advance through many levels of solving mysteries and uncovering evil plots from the world.

Live the thrills, brutality and intensity of naval combat as you fight for domination of the seas. Devastate foes with powerful weapons or use tools such as disguise and betrayal to approach combat in your own unique way. Dying Light 2
Dying Light 2 is a survival horror game. Similar to it’s predecessor, players will be able to make choices during the story with every action they make having consequences throughout the remainder of the game. What differs Dying Light 2 from the first game is the fact that zombies will now cower during the day and horde at night. This makes the night far more deadly then in the other game as the night is dark and full of terrors.
GTFO is a hardcore 4 player cooperative game, with a focus on team play and atmosphere. It features procedural gameplay scenarios through it’s Expedition Director, edge-of-your-seat suspense, team based puzzle solving and high intensity combat. Play as a team of scavengers, forced to explore an underground complex and extract valuable artifacts whilst defending yourself from waves of horrifying creatures. Death Stranding is an open-world action game which differs from most as certain multiplayer functions can be seen throughout. One of the main aspects of the trailer was the connection between life and death. This theme is sure to make an interesting Hideo Kojima game, similar to the Metal Gear Solid series.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake
Final Fantasy 7 was originally made back in 1997 for the PlayStation 1 console and is being reintroduced and remastered for the PlayStation 4 console. Unlike many other remastered games, Final Fantasy 7 has been built from the ground up, featuring fully polygonal graphics as opposed to the renders of the original.
Crash Team Racing

Classic characters such as Sub-Zero and Scorpion will make a return as well as a variety of new characters to join the scene.
Far Cry New Dawn
The latest title in the Far Cry universe allows the user to delve into a colourful, vibrant, post-apocalyptic county in Montana – 17 years after a global nuclear catastrophe. Take Mickey or Lou on an adventure to lead the fight against the Highwaymen as you fight to take over the last remaining resources.
In the Valley of Gods
Campo Santo, who were created the outstanding game Firewatch, were recently purchased by Valve. Their first title whilst working with Valve, In the Valley of Gods, is a single-player first-person adventure where the user must explore an ancient valley in the Egyptian desert.
